What Indicates a Pet Emergency?
Pet emergencies can manifest in a variety of ways. If any of the symptoms or situations listed below apply to your pet, don’t hesitate to reach out to us:
- Difficulty breathing
- Chronic coughing
- Gagging/choking
- Prolonged vomiting/diarrhea
- Straining /unable to urinate or defecate
- Multiple seizures in 15 minutes
- Fell from high up
- Got hit by a car
- Is bleeding from the ears, nose, and/or mouth
- Has blood in stool/vomit
- No food or water for more than 24 hours
- Seems to be in pain, especially when touched
- Unable to walk or stand
- Abdomen is distended (bloated)
- Possible broken bones
- Eye injury
- Encounter with another pet or wild animal
- Ingested a poison or toxin
