What Indicates a Pet Emergency?

Pet emergencies can manifest in a variety of ways. If any of the symptoms or situations listed below apply to your pet, don’t hesitate to reach out to us:

• Difficulty breathing
• Chronic coughing
• Gagging/choking
• Prolonged vomiting/diarrhea
• Straining /unable to urinate or defecate
• Multiple seizures in 15 minutes
• Fell from high up
• Got hit by a car
• Is bleeding from the ears, nose, and/or mouth
• Has blood in stool/vomit
• No food or water for more than 24 hours
• Seems to be in pain, especially when touched
• Unable to walk or stand
• Abdomen is distended (bloated)
• Possible broken bones
• Eye injury
• Encounter with another pet or wild animal
• Ingested a poison or toxin
