Cat and Dog End of Life Care:
Saying goodbye to a cherished member of the family is never easy. At Burnet Road Animal Hospital, we do our best to make cat and dog euthanasia as painless and stress-free as possible for people and their pets. We know that choosing to go forward with euthanasia is a big decision, and one that shouldn’t be made lightly. If you need guidance and have questions about the process, our team would be glad to help. We’re always here for you, especially during difficult times, and we’ll do everything we can to make your pet’s last moments calm and peaceful.
What to Expect from a End of Life Appointment
We respect your privacy and will let you have as much time as you need to spend with your pet. Saying goodbye is the hardest part of having a pet, and we’re glad to accommodate you in any way we can. We’ll wait for you to let us know when you’re ready to take the next step.
Before scheduling an End-of-Life appointment, we recommend looking into cremation options for your pet. We offer:
- Private cremation: Your pet is cremated separately, and you will receive a complimentary wooden urn, clay paw print, and hair clipping.
- Group cremation: Your pet is cremated with a group and their ashes are scattered in our memorial meadow.
