Microchipping is an effective way of identifying your pet in case it gets lost. A needle is used to inject a small electronic chip the size and shape of a piece of rice just under the skin in the neck area. It is a quick and easy process similar to a regular vaccine injection.
Once your pet has been microchipped, he or she will be registered to the microchip company’s database. It will identify the pet and show you as the owner. If someone finds your pet, a humane society or vet clinic will be able to scan your pet for the chip and contact you.
We highly recommend microchipping your pet as well as having a collar identification system to ensure that your pet makes it home safely.
